Bicentennial Woods

Kirk and I took a spontaneous hike in Bicentennial Woods. The sunshine brought out a number of hikers and nature lovers who couldn't resist the combination of pristinely white snow and sunshine. The temperature was only 26 when we started but that beautiful bright sunshine made it seem much warmer. I had an overwhelming desire to lie down on that fluffy white blanket, but the thought of getting wet and then having a 30 min. hike back to the car seemed too irresponsible. I allowed the euphoric feeling to be tempered by practicality and mature self decorum. Looking back on it now, I wish I'd just gone ahead and had a good roll in the snow!!! Maybe next time....
