He has not learned the lesson of life who does not every day surmount a fear. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Mondayitis strikes again!
The boss arranged a floater to cover hours while the asst. mngr. is on vacation. She didn't want to work two nights to cover his night. That would have given us an extra employee and allowed me to have some much needed off desk time to prepare for school visits that start the first week of May. But it was not to be! She took half a day sick and since it's Monday, the busiest day of the week, there went my plans to manage some off desk time. I don't even know what to say about her chronically calling in sick on Mondays. I almost want to give her a taste of her own medicine. Maybe I should go out some Sunday night and really tie one on, then call in sick the next day. It would be the truth and I would legitimately be sick, so I wouldn't have any guilt about faking it. I just can't believe that her immediate supervisor doesn't call her on it, but apparently he doesn't care since it's been going on for sooooo looooooong.
