J and I went to the Tiger Room to listen to James Rude, who just released his new CD, Never Better Than Later. I've only heard it once and I really liked it. I almost asked J to burn me a copy and then I realized that would be rude, (sorry, bad pun)
The Tiger Room is located in the back of Calhoun Street Soups, Salads, and Spirits. I've ridden past the storefront and thought it was just a lunch restaurant. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised when I walked in! The bar is fabulously beautiful. I love, love, love old buildings (think Henry's or Oyster Bar except with a lot more interior space) and to see someone invest this much time, energy, and money to keeping yet another Fort Wayne historical building from being razed really gives me hope for the future of our community.
I've added a picture of James . I don't think the picture on his MySpace does him justice. Those blond dreds and startlingly blue eyes of his are very striking.
