Jesus

Tim called to let us know that Jesus was done and due to be crated up and shipped within the week. J and I really wanted to see the finished product and it's been a long time since we've been out to see Tim, so we finally made the trek Friday. Jesus has been a huge commitment of time for Tim. It will be gracing the gardens of a parochial children's hospital. I can imagine what it will look like 100 years from now, patinaed and stately. I love the atmosphere of Tim's shop. All the dust makes it seem like an antique and timeless place, and there's a holy silence until he starts up that power chisel. Even though it looks as though the artist is kicked back enjoying a job well done, Tim's already moved on to planning his entry for a Detroit show.
