He has not learned the lesson of life who does not every day surmount a fear. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

First of all, I want to say that I'm a cat owner. There are three in my household and I love them dearly, but I recognize that they are animals. Finding out that the boss has called in sick two days in a row now because one of her five cats ran away is almost too incredible to believe. I took yesterday, Monday, off because I wasn't feeling well. When I came in this morning I discovered the boss had called in sick also (I know, I was shocked too!). I always wondered what would happen in the eventuality that we both called in on the same Monday. It was purely coincidental, but the thought has crossed my mind that if I called in sick a couple more Mondays, the boss's chronic absences would become starkly apparent to all and something would be done to correct the situation. She did show up this morning for about half an hour and was quite open about the fact that she was going home ill because she was so upset about her cat.

Our kitty was missing for a day and we found him on the road after being hit by a vehicle.
We loved Baxter but still went to work every day and looked for him before and after work.
I know people can be sensitive, but they still have responsibilities.
Feel better soon.
