The poppies are loving their new sunnier spot in the garden. I finally heard from that scamp, Chocolate Eyes, and he's still gainfully employed. He said his fb quip about needing a new job was a joke. Hmmmmmm....
I was pleasantly surprised to get this lovely Mother's Day gift from my boys. How did they know I've been having chocolate cravings? As you can see, Monster is enjoying the gift too. Despite the fact that I have to work today, it's going to be an exciting day. Chrish is coming home today, for how long I have no idea. He has a job at the school, and has now accomplished his Bachelors of Science, with another two years to get his doctorate in occupational therapy. I'm very pleased with his choice of study. I wasn't sure he was cut out
for physical therapy as a vocation. He's too sensitive to pain, even others', and the sight of blood would make him nauseous and light headed. I'm sure he's past some of that from all the dissection he's now experienced, but I think occupational therapy will be a more comfortable fit and his goofy, self deprecating style of humor will be loved by all his patients. During his high school years he worked for the same nursing home as his uncle. The residents still ask about Christian and identify others by their relationship to him. My sister is still greeted there, as "Oh, you're Christian's aunt! How is he?". Hearing stuff like that just makes me really proud of him . The other exciting news is that the bee hive site is prepared and we're going to pick up the bees tonight. The nuc was built at Majenica Creek Honey Farm in Huntington, IN, which is only 35 mi. from here, but Cindy, the beekeeper, said a few bees will manage to find a way into the car from the trunk. Wish us luck!
