He has not learned the lesson of life who does not every day surmount a fear. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

As I arrived at work, I noticed the boss arriving also. She had her I was so sick look on her face which lasted about 10 min. until she got in the door and began her daily blateration. How do you like my new word, blateration? I adopted it from the Save the Words web page that I discovered while stumbling. It's a good word for me and I won't have any problem using it since I still have two more years of the boss's blateration to endure. I was a little disappointed to find that the page spelled the word incorrectly and the correct spelling is blatteration.

Hi Julie - I love it when the boss is away, it's like dancing with ballet slippers rather than walking on eggshells with workboots. Love your photos, very glad I stumbled onto your blog ... from another solo riding gal.
Whoops, sorry for commenting twice (I didn't get the "prove you are not a robot" message and thought the first comment had drifted off into cyber space .... and now I've commented three times. Well - hello there.
Yeah, I felt like dancing in ballet slippers the first few years that the boss called in sick on Mondays, but after year 18 and the Mondays stretched to sometimes Monday/Tuesday combos or even Monday/Tuesday/Friday combos at the same time that hiring by attrition became sop, the ballet slippers magically transformed into concrete overshoes.
