He has not learned the lesson of life who does not every day surmount a fear. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Eagle Marsh sunrise
Mornings when I pass Eagle Marsh and see the fog lying over the meadow, it's just so achingly beautiful that I tell myself I'm going to go there early some morning to watch the sun rise. I finally did it. I had no idea they'd already added such an extensive trail system. It was gorgeous and the deer were thick. I was treated to a deer ballet as they gracefully bounded away. On the way back to the car I rousted out a huge buck. He was lying just 10 ft off the path. I'm so glad he and his enormous rack decided to bust out of there in the other direction. The deer are in rut now and there was a hunter killed just last year when he was attacked by a deer.
