New boss story
So, today is the fourth day the boss is suffering from a painful injury. She was unable to work the full day for the past three scheduled days, because of the terrible injury. What happened? She burnt the roof of her mouth on hot fudge she'd just taken out of the microwave. You can't make this stuff up!

Wow, she should still be able to work, her talking should just be curbed to a minimum.
I wonder how many employees could never get away with that excuse? Oh wait, the employees have integrity so wouldn't even try it.
Hi Julie: I just added your blog to my reading list. I retired from a library last summer, but, while working, I often uttered those same words, "You can't make this stuff up!"
