Last night I prepared and packed up the garden hive to deliver to the beek who's building the nuc and supplying a pkg. of bees for the top bar. It'll be 4 weeks before I move it back to its spot in the garden. The top bar is almost completed. I'll provide pictures after we get it out of the basement. J did most of it one Saturday while I was at work. Apparently he feels my woodworking skills are so poor that it's faster to just get it done when I'm not around. We have both been a little more independent of each other. J's involved in a new business idea and I'm still plodding along on my very long 1 year, 4 months, 12 days trail until retirement. I've got a couple of ideas up my own sleeve for after retirement plans, but it would be a whole new world and I've got a lot of preparation to do yet.
My youngest called from school. He finished his first year of grad school with all A's! That includes gross anatomy with a mind boggling demand for memorization. He told me some of the testing is done at stations and you're expected to deliver the answer and keep moving , sort of like speed dating. Now he's done and facing down the big pack-up and move for the end of the semester. He's staying with his girlfriend over the summer and has work lined up. I'm just happy that he's happy. I am starting to stress about the required 6 mos. of interning after next year, but he assures me that he'll figure out how to accomplish it. In case you can't tell, I'm very proud of him.
