He has not learned the lesson of life who does not every day surmount a fear. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I decided I needed a nice stomp in the woods and since there was no rain predicted I chose to ride over to Kokiwanee west of Huntington. I was just turning onto Division Rd just 7 mi. from my destination when it started to rain. I thought about turning tail and heading for home, but I was almost there and since I'm not sugar and won't melt I had a very soggy bug free hike through the woods. I didn't see too many wildflowers. The spring blooms are already spent and the summer flowers are just getting started. The top photo is milkweed and just putting on its buds, the last is wild ginger.

That looks like a beautiful place to walk, even without blooms.
The wild ginger is really interesting to me since we don't see it around here.
Thanks for sharing.
