I've had a lovely day off, slept in past 6 AM, first time in a long time. Got up and took a long hike in the woods then stopped in for a chai at the
Bean. I met an interesting man, William C. Brown IV, the
human drum machine and drum builder extraordinaire. He was telling me about his hometown,
Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It sounds like someplace I'd like to see on my dream continental bike trip. I love going to the Bean, there's always interesting people and good conversation there. Then I actually remembered to go to
Simply Socks while they were open, not as easy as it sounds. Wow! they have an amazing selection of yarns, had to get out of there before I got into serious trouble, but I'll be going back soon. Now I'm cuddled up with Monster watching season 6 of Madmen which makes me miss J like crazy. Maybe someday it'll stop hurting and I'll be able to see and talk to him without feeling like an emotional cripple, but not yet...not yet.
By the way, that last photo, that's my new baby...don't have it yet, but by spring I'll be ready for a new adventure.
