I didn't expect to find validation of my thoughts on the issue of trust so easily. When I've suffered an emotional injury my ability to trust is put into stasis. I trust no one and go into an almost fugue like state, trudging back and forth to work, joyless and isolated. Purchasing and paddling my kayak helped me to break out of that cycle and worth every penny spent for the joy it's given me.
