I wish...

I wish I had brought my camera cord. I could be loading my photos onto flickr right now and then I could empty some slots on my memory card for more. I hiked the nature trails at Orchard Beach. It is tree nirvana. There was a really wide variety of terrain and trees with loads of ferns and a whole meadow filled American Vetch. Surprisingly I didn't see any critters. I saw deer track and I think I surprised one this morning. I heard a big huffing noise and then a large animal moving off, but I never saw him. There was a section of hemlocks that was saturated with birds and there were a few that I've never seen before. Now, I'm off to beautiful Lake Michigan for a refreshingly icy swim. Brrrrr
