There's a lid for every trash can

I was telling a co-worker about the unusual couple I encountered. They proudly strolled in holding hands and announced they needed an account change because they were newlyweds. The thing that was made them so remarkable was their complete self assurance. He was Asian and skinny as a beanpole. She was a blowsy looking bleached blonde with hips as wide as a barn with an extra boatload of cellulite thrown in for good measure. To add insult to injury while recording her information I learned that she was 10 years younger than me. It made me think how strange love can be and while I was telling my coworker about this odd couple he asked me if I'd heard this saying, there's a lid for every trash can. I had been complaining about not being able to find anyone and he retorted, "What are you talking about? You have guys swarming all around you. You just haven't found the right one." Well aye, there's the rub!
