Gross out adventure

I took a hike at Kokiwanee today and was on the trail that comes out on the cliff at the top of Frog Falls. I found this young turkey buzzard in the shelter there and I started stalking it with my camera. It was making noises through that holey beak that sounded like a air pressure hose. If it was trying to scare me it worked. I kept my distance. I thought if I got close enough to take a good picture it would fly off, but instead it just kept flapping over to the other side of the shelter. Finally it flew down to the floor and regurgitated a big wad of the stinkiest offal I have ever smelled in my life. I don't know if it was a defense mechanism to chase me away with the smell or if it was just lightening the load before it took to the air. Needless to say, I left the area and left it to stew in it's own stink. I'm sure it didn't want to leave because it wanted to eat the yak again, Yuck!
