No frogs were harmed in this photo

Aha, here's what those little popcorn frogs look like. They've grown older and wiser. I didn't see nearly as many on the paths at Fox Island and they jumped out of harm's way much faster than they did just two weeks ago. This little guy wasn't fast enough and I got a close-up look at him. Obviously I'm not suffering from ranidaphobia, although I did wash my hands at the earliest opportunity.

Most of the wildflowers are spent, but I did see lots of jewelweed in bloom. Only a few of them were producing their pressure sensitive seeds but I did get this picture that shows one hanging and ready to explode at the slightest touch.
Jewelweed is reputed to be a natural antidote to poison ivy. If you break the stems and rub the juice on skin that's been exposed, it's supposed to break down the poison ivy oil and prevent the allergic reaction. I'll not willing to put it to the test. I'll just take their word for it.
