Palin and McCain
It is an embarrassment to my gender to think that women are so anxious to break through the pinnacle of glass ceilings that they're willing to contribute to the election of an unqualified person like Sarah Palin to the second highest office in our government. From the scant interviewing that's been allowed, my personal opinion of her is being solidified that she's a woman who's fantastic as a celebrity sound bite career politician, but doesn't seem capable of any real original thought or wisdom. The thing that she seems best as is making excuses for her record of 180 degree turnabouts and inappropriately using her personal moral convictions for campaign platforms. It's obvious that she's very attractive, but this time it's not a race for Miss Alaska! Our country needs someone who is a leader and receives counsel, not instruction, and then has the wisdom to develop a plan both foreign and domestic. Why be so concerned about the office of vice president, when it would be McCain who would hold the office of President if elected? Well, his recent delay of the debates leads me to believe that he's exhausted from the pace of the campaign and keeping the public from looking behind his Emerald City- style curtain!
