Traditionally I should have started this for the New Year, sweeping out the old, ridding myself of dead weight. I should have taken a before and after picture, but the before would have been just too embarrassing.
My first task is to make space - I want to share my home and make it hospitable so that requires space. I've learned lots of things from the men in my life and this is something that Rich taught me. This small symbolic act is incredibly powerful. Rich did it for me and I remember how much it touched me. Now I'm passing it along to Jay Jay. I wonder what his reaction will be. I hope that he interprets it as an invitation without pressure.
