And so it begins...

I got a bill from my life insurance company, despite the fact that I paid my annual premium through my online banking on March 1st. After several calls back to my broker and my bank, it has been determined that I need to prove that I already paid them; so am waiting for documentation from the bank that will need to be faxed to the insurance company.

Messing around with that took up most of my spare time this morning and then I get to work to find the boss is sick on Monday again, (anyone surprised?)

I finally got a phone call from my youngest, letting me know he got back to school OK, (only about 24 hours late!) I ought to make him buy my hair dye since he's the one making me go gray faster! Seriously, it was deeply satisfying to see both my boys and watch them play with their cousins. The Easter Egg hunt has gradually transformed over the years into a full contact sport between all those big rowdy boys! We had a great meal and spent the rest of the day outside enjoying the sunshine. My parents' next door neighbor girl even taught me a new tradition that she learned at a party . She had a basket full of Cascarones eggs. They are real eggs that have been dyed then blown out and a large opening broken from the end of the egg. Then the eggs were stuffed with confetti and a layer of tissue paper glued over the end. I was greeted with an exuberant, "Happy Easter" and then the egg was smashed on my head. I enjoyed it so much that when my unsuspecting mother came out I innocently asked the neighbor girl if she'd told my Mom "Happy Easter" yet. The neighbor girl obliged and my Mom was only a little put out to find confetti floating in her fresh cup of coffee. Heehee.
