The top bar is thriving!










This was the third time the top bar's been opened since the installation on May 24th. Already they have at least 5-6 frames of comb pulled. The photos are the first three bars of the hive, you can see the pollen stores at the top, and the brood cells towards the bottom of the first three photos. The brood cells are proof that the queen is viable and already building her nest. It just amazes me that bees are able to accomplish this much in such a short amount of time. I think they're pleased with Jay's hive building skills.
