Duh
I can't believe it took me as long as it did to figure out the bike issue. When I replaced the battery, it reset the trip odometer, which caused me to believe I had half a tank of gas more than I did. DUH! I'm still going to change the oil on my next day off since I'll be riding it until the snow flies. The bike shop people have always said the best thing you can do to prolong the life of your bike is to change the oil frequently. I can't believe I already have 50,000 mi. When did that happen?

DOH is right. Glad it wasn't a bigger issue.
My only excuse is the extra stress I'm living with right now. I'm just constantly bracing for the next calamity.
