I might as well just have the wrench surgically attached to my hand. My bike tried to puke out on me twice on the way to work. I still had half a tank of gas, but out of desperation switched it to reserve and it ran fine. When I switched it back, it went back to spluttering. Sooo, I'm going to be spending my lunch hour checking the gas and the oil, then if that doesn't resolve the issue, taking the seat back off to check the battery connections. When I changed out the battery it was really difficult to get the battery out. I'm guessing because they use impact tools at the bike shop, the screws were almost completely stripped. Really?! I thought they were professionals.  It's possible that I forgot to reset the mileage the last time I got gas and I'm on the big E, but that really doesn't seem right, maybe the mileage gauge has stopped working correctly and I did reset it last time, but it isn't registering the distance correctly. My bike doesn't have a gas gauge so the only way to guess how much fuel I have is to reset the trip odometer each time I refuel. That must be what's happened since it seemed to run fine on reserve. I'm not relishing the idea of riding home in the dark tonight and having it puke out on me on Engle Rd. with no shoulder pull off. Good grief, can't I catch a break?! I've already done my quota of time as a pedestrian on Engle Rd. this year as far as I'm concerned.
