I knew that one of my girlfriends was going to be in town, so I stopped in at O's on the way home to meet up with her. I was so tired that I didn't stay long, but it was nice to see her and to be reminded of the Elkhart Jazz Festival next weekend.
When I walked in the door at home, right away something seemed strange, then I suddenly realized what was unsettling me. Monster had his belled collar on. I had taken it off because the diatomaceous earth I'd sprinkled in his fur was making him itchy, and I started getting the uneasy feeling that someone had been inside my house. I noticed the msg. light flashing on my phone. It was my double X and he wanted to know if I'd left something on his porch last month. Then I really started to freak out, thinking he had come in my house. That's when I saw the note from Ben saying that he'd stopped in on his way through town to visit a friend in Ohio and he would have called first but his cell phone died enroute. Why he took the time to put the cat's collar back on, I don't know, but I sure am glad it was him instead of the boogie man.

Wow, that would freak me out to find a collar on the cat after I got home, knowing darn well it was off. Glad the mystery was solved and it wasn't a bad thing.
