Only injury was to my pride

I was parked in front of Hyde Bros. just having delivered lunch to J and had just started my bike when a woman stopped her SUV back from the light and waved me out. I was rushed, but that doesn't account for my next stupid trick. I pulled out to make the left turn only to realize that I had done the most imbecilic first-time-on-a-bike move ever. My fork was still locked! Needless to say I went down quickly and since all traffic was stopped for the light, they all had a front row center view of the stupid woman trying to pick up her 678 lb. bike. I almost had it up when two people jumped out of their cars to help. One guy kept asking me if I was OK, and a woman kept asking if my leg was hurt. I was fine, but anxious to get the bike to the side of the street to check for damage. There wasn't a scratch on it, thanks to the fork being locked! It also helped with the lifting since it hadn't gone all the way to ground. I rode home and had a bit of a sit and think. Then I decided the sun was still shining and I was going to get back on and have a little ride despite the fact that I felt like hiding my head in shame. Here's some of the photos I took after I stopped being shaky.

Hi Julie! Well, at least you had a good reason for dropping the bike. I dropped my Katana for no reason at all. It really is a shock to the system isn't it. I feel your pain!
I've installed a "crash bar" on my new Harley...the way it sits, I'll probably never need it...but as we all know...never say never!
Love your flower photos!
